The Philharmonic Orchestra of Carusades Corfu was founded in 1980. It aims at the diffusion of music to the community and the greater area of North-western Corfu.
It is a Communal Philharmonic consisting of:
- almost 65 musicians and
- another 50 students to whom theoretical instruction is given gratis together with practice in wind and percussion instruments.
In its activities included are many performances and concerts both inside the borders of Carusades’ Community, in the town of Corfu and its neighbouring Communities and Municipalities and outside the island of Corfu.
