Event Details
A. Participation:
The bands willing to participate may be:
- Cοncert Bands
- Big Bands
- Brass Bands
- Marching Bands
- Percussion ensemble
- Symphonic Orchestras
The schemes should consist of no less than 15 people nor be larger than 40 (escorts, drivers, etc. included).
* The cost of accommodation and meals for up to 40 people will be paid by the festival organization, while for more than 40 people will be paid by the participating group.
Schemes failing to comply with the above mentioned restrictions may participate only after special consultation and approval.
The 80% of the ages of the musicians who will participate is 15 – 30 years old. The 20% can be below or over of these ages.
The organizational committee of the festival has to answer by February 28th, 2026 to all participating applications.
By its acceptation to the festival every scheme is committed to follow with consistency I.Y.B.F.’s program (main program, parallel events, supportive actions) of which full details will be provided during the period of preparation.
The Organizational Committee is bound to send to you the full and final program of the festival two (2) months before its starting day.
B. Presentation:
The bands which are going to take part will present their program by giving up to 2 concerts during their stay.
These concerts will be held within the limits of Delta Municipality and in other places chosen by the I.Y.B.F.’s organizational committee.
All the bands that will participate are obliged to make parade according to the program of the festival.
C. Infrastructure:
The organizational committee is prepared to cover all needs concerning every technical aspect of the festival (sound, lighting, music stands); further there is the possibility to cover the needs for percussion instruments following consultation with the committee.
D. Accommodation and Food:
Special care has been taken for the accommodation in hotels and pensions of our city (more precise information will be sent to you together with the detailed program of your visit).
The costs of accommodation and meals (up to 40 people) will be covered entirely by the Festival’s organizing body.
During I.Y.B.F. and for the schemes joining in, a full program of parallel activities will be arranged while meeting points for the mutual acquaintance will be running throughout the days of the festival.
N.B.
The organizational committee wishes to declare that it will not be covering any expenses regarding transfer from the schemes’ countries to and out of Greece, nor has any provision for pocket money been made.
If you arrive to our country by airplane, the organization committee of the festival will provide you a bus for your transfers.
The Groups coming from North and South America, East Asia, Japan and Australia are expected to arrive two (2) days prior of the festival’s starting day.
